Lovise and Max Richardson celebrate 65th wedding anniversary

Lovise and Max Richardson of Adelene Village in Wyoming celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary last month on 12 April 2023. The couple, who married in St. James Church, King Street in 1958, have been through a lot together over the years, and their wedding anniversary was a time for celebration and reflection.

They have seen a lot of changes in the world over the past 65 years, including the rise of new technologies, such as the computer, the internet and mobile phones, and they have also witnessed the evolution of society.

Lovise recalled, “When we got married, the postman delivered letters in the morning and the afternoon, there were no indicators in cars and when an adult walked into a classroom, pupils were required to stand out of respect.”

The couple bought their first computer in Hong Kong in 1982. Since then, they have tried to keep abreast of ever-evolving technology. They have a son, daughter, daughter-in-law, two grandsons, and their families, who they can always call for help if needed.

Lovise and Max also reflected on their love of travel which began with their first trip to America in 1977. They were so captivated by the experience that they continued to travel extensively for the next 42 years.

“We love to travel because it’s a great way to learn about different cultures and meet new people,” said Lovise. “We’ve made so many wonderful memories on our travels, and we can’t wait to make more in the future.”

In addition to their love of travel, Lovise and Max are also active in their community. Max has been a member of Rotary International for 48 years, and Lovise has been a member of International Inner Wheel for 39 years. Both organizations are dedicated to serving others, and Lovise and Max have made a significant impact on their communities through their work.

“We’re grateful for the opportunity to give back to our community,” said Max. “We believe that everyone has something to offer, and we’re glad that we can use our skills and talents to make a difference.”

Lovise and Max are an inspiration to everyone who knows them. They are a loving couple who have shared a lifetime of adventures together. They are also active members of their community and have made a significant impact on the lives of others. Congratulations on your 65th wedding anniversary!
